Salient Features of Prosecution Facilitation Centers
1. Provision of copies of FIR, PMR, MLC, statements recorded u/s 161 or 164
2. Issuance of appropriate direction to add, delete or amend the initial charge during the scrutiny
3. Issuance of appropriate direction to record and take evidence in favour of the accused if any
4. Issuance of appropriate direction to record the first version of the accused
5. Issuance of appropriate direction to record the cross version, if needs according to the circumstances of the case
6. Issuance of appropriate directions to the IOs for completion of investigation and submission of challan within stipulated time period
7. Creation of independent prosecution file for protection and perservation of the official record
8. A full time assistance to the IOs from registration of FIR till completion of the challan, the Pre-Trial Prosecutors are full time available for assistance and coordination and liaison with the police officers during the officer hours.
9. Pre- Trial Prosecutor can decide not to prosecute if there is no sufficient evidence available in the file connecting the accused with the alleged offenses.
